We are pleased to announce the International Conference on Group B Strep (ICGBS) 2021! The ICGBS 2021 is an online collaboration of healthcare professionals, laboratorians, researchers, families, policy makers, and other interested individuals working to increase GBS disease awareness and prevention. Join us as we work to reduce the burden of group B strep disease worldwide with Keynote Speaker Professor Joy Lawn.

ICGBS 2021 will be online July 20-22, 2021 and registration is free! The Call for Abstracts has been extended through June 1st and our Research Wall is now accepting submissions!

Our Keynote Speaker, Joy Lawn, will be presenting her talk titled "20 million pregnant women with GBS worldwide: deaths, data on disability and delivering change."

Approximately 1 in 4 pregnant women carry GBS, which can infect babies during pregnancy through the first few months of life. Not all babies exposed to GBS become infected, but, for those who do, the results can be devastating. GBS can cause babies to be miscarried, stillborn, born prematurely, become very sick, have lifelong handicaps, or die.

Presentations will be uploaded by midnight (00:00) EST [UTC-5] daily for ease of viewing across multiple time zones around the world. Registrants will be able to post comments and questions on each presentation to facilitate discussion with the presenter and other registered attendees.
